Malton Road / St. Mark’s Road: Full Steam Ahead for the ‘Great White Whale’

With Haskins away in Toronto, the squad is under the temporary command of Quirke, who is obsessed with capturing his own personal ‘Great White Whale’ Yannos, and his mythical ‘Post Office Gang’ – the ones that supposedly got away, and have blighted and haunted his career ever since. Regan, Carter and co. are informed that Yannos has been spotted back in the country, and are instructed to go all-out to capture him in the act of his next robbery.

Gloucester Road Tube Station – George Collects Stickley
Stickley, Regan’s informant, is on the inside of Yannos’ gang for the upcoming jewellery shop robbery; George poses as a cab driver, and collects Stickley to take him to the ‘dummy run’ so that Stickley can give him information about the job without arousing the gang’s suspicion.

Jermyn Street – The Robbery

The target for Yannos and his gang is a jewellers on Jermyn Street, near the corner of Duke Street St. James. The ‘dummy run’ takes place after Carter – posing as a taxi driver – has picked up Stickley and taken him to the jewelers. For the real job, however, the game changes somewhat.
